I just found out that "Bro. Walker" has gone to sleep. I am struggling to find the words... i cant even remember the last time i saw him.... maybe 83, 84? Yet as long ago as that was he was one of those people in your life that helped guide you and train you even though you did not know it was happening. Brother Walker and I once had a very deep conversation that I will never forget concerning some of the foolish things you do when you are 14. Not one word of it was anything except his genuine worry about me. Anyway.... my heart is heavy this evening.

I met Don in March of 1968, I had stop my car in front of his home, he saw that I was about to do something that would have changed the direction of my life for a long time. I was not a servant of Jehovah, and unaware that he was. After coming to know Jehovah, and reconnecting with Don and his family, it was like adding another family to my family. Serving with Don in the same circuit, we associated often, I recall just a few of his fine qualities: Balance, kind, personable, reasonable, righteous, lots of wisdom. Fun to be around. Condolences from my wife & I to the entire family. He will surely be missed. (Isaiah 33:24; 25:8)

I had the privilege of knowing Don outside of the Kingdom Hall. He was a wonderful man with a lot of wisdom. Always attentive to those around him. I will remember him as always smiling. My condolences to his entire family and all of his friends.

This sweet man will be missed by so many. Am personally eternally grateful that he has given me one of my life's greatest gifts (his son Jody), who shares his dad's love of Jehovah and passion for people. I look forward to seeing Don again. My prayers, support, and sadness especially go to his four sons.

Becky! I have been thinking about you often over the past several years and was trying to find a way to reach out to you. I hope this message gets to you. Please contact me so that we can chat and catch up. So much has happened in the years that have flown by - and I am truly hoping you and Jody are doing well. Miss so much of my old PA life, friends etc. This world certainly has a way of dragging us down - can't wait for the wonderful new system where we will welcome back Don and my dad (whom I lost 5 years ago). Take care lovely lady! Darlene (love to Jody)

I enjoyed serving Jehovah with don. I learned alot about Jehovah from him. I served as an MS under him and he always allowed me to learn. I look forward to greeting him back in New world where we can serve Jehovah shoulder to shoulder once again.
