Jose Cruz Morales

Jose Cruz Morales, 84, of Allentown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in Allentown.

Born in Barrio Calzada, Maunabo, Puerto Rico to the late Isabelo Cruz and Eudocia Morales Ortega, Jose had been a resident of Allentown, PA for the past 45 to 50 years. He also resided in Comerío, PR, and San Juan, PR.

Jose, comical and happy in nature, had been employed as a cook in the restaurant industry in the earlier part of his life. He was a member of the church Iglesia Pentecostal “Andamos Por Fe, No Por Vista” which was pastored by Reverend Luz Martinez located on N. 2nd St. in Allentown. He helped in the church with custodial services and served in the ministry by playing the guitar. Jose also helped with doing odd jobs at the Guzman Mini Market in Allentown. He enjoyed cooking his favorite cuisines and playing his guitar.

He is survived by his sibling (father side) Enemías Cruz, and siblings (mother’s side), Melanea Rodriguez Morales, Antero Rodriguez Morales, Carmen D. Rodriguez Morales, Juana Rodriguez Morales, Calixto Rodriguez Morales, Francisca Cortes Rodriguez Morales (his nieces, Merari and Milagros Cortes and nephews, Evan and Lisandro Cortes), and Maria V. Rodriguez Morales. He was preceded in death by three siblings: Genoveva Rodriguez Morales, Felix Rodriguez Morales, and Juan Rodriguez Morales.

Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, 2010 W. Chew St, Allentown, PA, 18104, on Wednesday, February 10th at 12 noon.
