Ernestine Cooper

October 15, 1929 ~ December 25, 2020 (age 91) 91 Years Old

Ernestine Cooper In Our Care

Ernestine Cooper, daughter of the late Deacon Willie Hamilton and Lillie Ophelia Owens Hamilton, was born October 15, 1929 in St. Matthews, South Carolina.  She was the fifth of seven children.  Ernestine  attended Guinyard Elementary School and graduated from John Ford High School in St Matthews, NC.  She moved to New York City, NY and worked as an Optical Salesperson.  In 1960 she met her husband, Brother Henry Cooper, and was married on December 1, 1962.  They enjoyed 58 years of marriage.

Ernestine and family moved to Phillipsburg, NJ in 1976 where she soon after  became a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Easton, PA,  She served in the Mass Choir, Willing Workers, Missionaries and was honored as a Mother in the Greater Shiloh Church of Easton, PA.

Ernestine enjoyed cooking, arts and crafts, sewing, decorating and most of all serving the Lord.

Ernestine is Survived by Husband: Henry Cooper

Two sons: Eugene (Marvin) Hamilton of New York City, NY and T Sgt Henry Jason Cooper, US Army (retired) (wife Theresa Cooper) of Lumber Bridge, NC

One Daughter: Michelle Karngbaye (husband Deacon Moses Karngbaye) of Willingboro, NJ

Grandchildren: Gene Martin Hamilton (wife Sylvia) of New York City, NY, Sharmaine Hamilton of New York, NY, Keshia Junglas of Fayetteville, NC, Alyssa Mask (husband Chief Warrant Ofcr Dylan Mask, US Army) of Fortson, Georgia, Thompson and Godwin Karngbaye of Willingboro,NJ

Great Grandchildren: Kimora and Kimaya Hamilton of New York City, NY, Tristan and Lucas Mask of Fortson, NC

Siblings:  Lillie Pearl Edwards of New York City, NY, Ruth Frederick (husband Deacon John Frederick) of Trevose, PA

Host of nieces, nephews, cherished in-laws and other family members and friends

Funeral Services will take place in Greater Shiloh Church Friday January 8, 2021 at 11AM.  Calling hour from 10-11AM.

Interment will take place in George Washington Memorial Park on Saturday at 12PM.
