Constance A (Chambers/Posten) Witcher

Constance Adrinne Chambers was born January 15, 1930.  She lived to see her ninetieth birthday.  Her parents were Arvet Monroe Chambers, Sr. and Blanche Boyer Chambers of Media, PA.  She had an older brother since deceased.  Connie was married to Charles L. Posten of Stroudsburg, PA.  They had three children:  Kurt (deceased), Deborah and Karen.  Deborah has one daughter, Desiree and Karen has one daughter, Erin.  Their three children were raised with the help of Connie’s beloved Mother-in-Law, Sadie Adams Posten.

She was employed through the years at Ronson; in Media at the Freeds as a nanny/caregiver, and at the Manchester Nursing Home.  She retired from the Young World Day Care Center in Raleigh, NC.  She later married her childhood sweetheart, Leroy Witcher from West Chester, Pa.  He was a mechanical engineer.  Connie was an artist, loved reading and working with puzzles.  Boy was she ever a sports fan!  She was Tom Brady of the Patriot’s #1 fan but for basketball she looked to the west coast cheerleading for Steph Curry and the Warriors.

In Connie’s younger school years she played field hockey which was later taken up by her granddaughter, Desiree.  As a family we spent many hours laughing and sharing memories of days gone by in Media and Stroudsburg.

Services will take place in the Funeral Home on Friday at 11:30AM.  Visitation begins at 11AM.  Entombment will follow services in Greenwood Cemetery.
