Bender, Paul C."Pauly" passed away in his sleep on July 18th. Paul was born on April 24, 1946. Paul graduated from William Allen High School in 1966. He proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine. While deployed in Vietnam, he survived the battle/siege of Khe Sanh. Paul lived a diverse and colorful life; he worked at Mack truck, Shop Well, drove a tractor-trailer across the US, worked as carnie, but he is mostly known for his work behind the bar. He tended bar at the Leigh Valley Club, the Village Inn, the King George, the Main Gate/Fairgrounds Hotel, the Stop Light, and numerous others. He was a gregarious soul with always a story to tell, and a laugh to be heard. He somewhere, somehow, acquired the nickname of "Off the wall Paul", which he fully embraced and it says it all about Paul.Paul will be missed by so many of his friends from the Episcopal House,The Franklin Social Club and everyone else who crossed path with him. Survivors: His brother from the same mother, Michael, and his sisters Anne Lebo, and Sue Ellen Bender will miss him. Services: Paul will buried August 10th at 12:00noon at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Philadelphia.
