Irwin M. Judd Funeral Home was founded in 1954 on Market Street in Scranton, Pennsylvania. In 1969 the Hamilton Street building was purchased from a local doctor, after a year of extensive renovations the Hamilton Street location was opened. Later that same year the Market street location was closed.
Our building was built in 1938 for a local doctor and served as a "mini-hospital" until his passing in the late 1960's. Standing three stories with over 9,700 square feet we are a full service funeral home available to meet the needs of our families with ease.
We specialize in International Shipping of remains in addition to traditional services.
Our staff is well seasoned and dedicated to serving the community with dignity and honor at all times.
Recent updates to our facility include...New interior paint, hand plastered ceilings, addition of another first floor bathroom, new first floor casket showroom and exterior landscaping. Our newest improvement is the addition of a beautiful organ in the main chapel. The organ is made from solid oak, by the Allen Organ Company in Macungie Pennsylvania. We have an organist on staff for funeral services and viewings, but any "seasoned" organist of your choosing is welcome to play.
Judd Funeral Home was founded on the belief that our customers always come first. We believe that a high quality service does not require a high price. At Judd Funeral Home we have several cost effective options available. Our entire team is committed to arranging a beautiful lasting tribute to your loved one. We have created packages to cater to all budgets and tastes. We also have the ability to produce custom memorial DVD's in a matter of hours. We welcome the opportunity to earn your trust.
